Wattle will form a strategic technology partnership with the NCS, and its sister organisation the National Hypnotherapy Society (HS) and implement a comprehensive set of integrated CRM and CMS solutions based on its flagship membership experience platform, MemEx.
The NCS play an important role within the profession of counselling in the UK and were one of the first organisations to gain Accredited Register status.
Their belief is that counselling (and related therapies) should be seen as a vocation (not just a job but a worthy occupation) and that the relationship between counsellor and client is important for the outcome of therapy.
In addition to the NCS the project also impacts the National Hypnotherapy Society (HS), a Learned Society whose primary purpose is the advancement of the knowledge of hypnotherapy and the fostering of professional hypnotherapy expertise through training, accreditation and continued professional development (CPD) of its members.
Both the NCS and HS are governed by a single team. On the same joint basis both Societies currently utilise a Craft CMS, although via separate websites and back-end databases. Whilst Craft handles the basics well the system is costly to develop and complex to administer.

In order to meet these challenges head on Wattle propose the deployment of our seamlessly integrated Membership Experience Platform, MemEx, specifically designed to address the needs of membership organisations, to meet the combined Societies new membership management system needs.
Already in use throughout the membership sector, the platform unifies two of the sectors most popular .NET SaaS technologies, Umbraco's CMS and Microsoft's Dynamics 365.
MemEx will act as a comprehensive baseline functionality framework for the NCS MMS and, through defined processes of discovery and gap / fit analysis, be configured to NCS requirements, integrated with relevant incumbent systems, and deployed into the organisation in a phased manner.
The globally scalable D365 CRM system, with related MemEx Membership Accelerators, will be deployed to enable the efficient and effective end to end management of NCS and HS members and partners, with the built-in flexibility to accommodate new application processes and management. Integration with third-party solutions, like NCS’s Campaign Monitor, will enable sophisticated email and marketing campaign automation.
Umbraco, with related MemEx Membership Accelerators, will be leveraged for the development of both NCS and HS websites and related portals for Member self-service management, via optimised user journeys, along with comprehensive therapist and course provider directories, courses, event listings and the ability to handle PCI compliant card and direct debit payments.
