Geological Society partner with Wattle for future-proof CRM platform

The Society, the world's oldest professional body for Earth science, is to partner with Wattle to develop a new, future-proofed CRM platform for the benefit of their members, supporters, customers, volunteers, and staff team.

Over the next year Wattle will work in close partnership with the Geological Society of London to transform their digital systems, implementing the Microsoft Dynamics 365 component of our membership experience platform - MemEx.

Michael Clayton, Director of Finance & Operations, The Geological Society of London.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Wattle to develop a new, future-proofed CRM platform for the benefit of the Society’s members, supporters, customers, volunteers, and staff team. From the get-go, Wattle’s team demonstrated an eagerness to understand our specific needs and ambitions, quickly getting to grips with our requirements and showing innovative thinking via their CRM solutions and MemEx platform."

"We are looking forward to building a long-term partnership with Wattle, as we continue our digital transformation for the advancement of knowledge, education, and professional excellence in Earth Science.”

The Geological Society of London
, established in 1807, is the world's oldest professional body for Earth science.

Their global membership exceeds 12,000, predominantly composed of Chartered Geologists and Chartered Scientists. They are a world-leading communicator of Earth science – through scholarly publishing, library and information services, cutting-edge scientific conferences, education activities, and outreach. The Society also provide impartial scientific information and evidence to support policy-making and public debate.

The aims of the Society are to:

  • Improve knowledge and understanding of the Earth.
  • Promote Earth science education and awareness.
  • Promote professional excellence and ethical standards in the work of Earth scientists, for the public good.

The Society’s current CRM platform is no longer fit for purpose, with several significant limitations in its functionality, performance, and reliability. It is no longer a viable platform on which to deepen and grow their supporter and customer engagement, communications, sales, and income generation.

They are seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM platform with a customised framework of functionality that meets the needs of membership organisations. The new CRM will help the Society to fulfil their responsibilities as the UK's national professional body for Earth Science and create a trusted, personalised, user-centred, and efficient platform which together deliver great customer affinity, retention, and growth.

To help the Society realise its digital transformation goals Wattle will deploy the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) component of MemEx, our seamlessly integrated Membership Experience Platform, specifically designed to address the needs of membership organisations, to deliver an accessible, adaptable, and integrated suite of engagement processes, data, and working practices.

MemEx D365 will act as a comprehensive baseline functionality framework for Society’s platform and, through defined processes of discovery and design, be configured to the their requirements, integrated with relevant incumbent systems, and deployed into the their organisation in a phased manner over a 1-year period.

We look forward to sharing future updates about the Society's exciting digital transformation process. To learn more about how Wattle can support your membership organisation contact our expert team today.
