The International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA), a global association representing over 3,500 HPB surgeons and healthcare professionals across 100+ countries, has appointed Wattle to deliver its new CRM, Website, and Member Portal platform.
This major digital transformation programme will replace IHPBA’s legacy systems with a single, integrated solution built on Wattle’s MemEx platform, enabling the organisation to connect members, regional associations, and partners worldwide through one seamless digital experience.
Michelle Peters, Executive Director at IHPBA, said:
“We are delighted to partner with Wattle on this exciting digital transformation initiative. Our aim is to deliver a modern, seamless experience for our members, one that reflects the truly global nature of IHPBA and the collaborative spirit of our HPB community.
Wattle’s understanding of membership organisations and their expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Umbraco, and the MemEx platform gives us great confidence that this partnership will create the robust digital foundation we need to grow and innovate in the years ahead.”
The new platform will combine the power of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, the Umbraco CMS, and the MemEx Member Portal to streamline membership management, automate renewals and payments, and enhance member self-service. It will also form the foundation for IHPBA’s long-term vision to expand international collaborations through its flagship HPBridge initiative.
The project is due to commence in December 2025, beginning with a comprehensive Discover & Design phase to ensure the solution is fully aligned with IHPBA’s operational and strategic goals.
This project represents a key step forward in IHPBA’s digital evolution, enabling the organisation to modernise its global systems and better serve its members, partners, and regional associations.
By unifying data and digital services across CRM, web, and portal, IHPBA will strengthen its ability to deliver educational content, foster professional collaboration, and support global research and mentoring initiatives.
The new platform will empower IHPBA to create a truly connected international community of HPB professionals, driving engagement, learning, and innovation worldwide.
Andrew Vance, Chief Commercial Officer at Wattle, said:
“We’re delighted to be partnering with IHPBA to deliver this truly global transformation project. Their ambition to connect and empower the international HPB surgical community aligns perfectly with our mission to help membership organisations engage and grow through technology.
The MemEx platform will provide a robust foundation for IHPBA’s future growth - a flexible, integrated solution that evolves with the organisation and supports its global collaboration goals.”
