What will you be doing?

What you should have:
  • A degree in a science related subject that included software development as a module OR relevant industry experience.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communicating skills as you will be answering centralised Service Desk phone calls, logging Incidents, Service Requests and queries raised by clients.
  • A natural aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking skills as you will be carrying out initial Incident diagnostics, resolving with a first line fix where possible or escalating to other areas to resolve if necessary.
  • An exceptional attention to detail as you'll be updating all records in a timely manner with associated information pertaining to the full life cycle of the support call.
  • A strong sense of ownership as you ensure any calls that cannot be resolved by the IT Service Desk are allocated to the relevant team in a timely manner.
  • The ability to develop good relationships with people internally and externally as you're in contact with customers regarding reported incidents and providing them with appropriate updates.
  • A strategic mind to raise awareness of regular repeat incidents and the ability to work with software developers to mitigate against them, assisting with Trend Analysis and Problem Record investigations.
